Tebay

Tebay Services opened in June 1972 as Britain’s only family-owned motorway service station. Founded by the Dunning family, it pioneered the farm shop concept at motorway services long before it became fashionable. Unlike corporate-owned facilities, Tebay focuses on local produce, home-cooked food, and quality over mass-market offerings. The kitchen garden supplies fresh ingredients to the restaurant. Its success inspired Gloucester Services in 2014. Consistently rated among Britain’s best motorway stops, Tebay proves service stations can offer more than fast food chains.
