Ferrybridge Services

Ferrybridge Services opened in April 1985 as Granada’s thirteenth site and the first developed privately without government direction, built on a former bone manure works. Located at the M62/A1(M) intersection, it was branded worst in Britain by Which? in 2000. The Little Chef closed in 2008, one of the last on motorways. Traffic reduced after A1(M) improvements in 2006 created a convoluted access route. A trial fish and chip shop called Ernie’s opened in 2013. Operated by Moto.
