Clacket Lane Services
Clacket Lane Services opened in 1993 after prolonged planning disputes dating to 1972. Roman artifacts were discovered during construction, specifically from a disused Roman road. The two buildings were designed as gateways to Kent and Surrey. Until 2008, the westbound side was thought to be Britain’s largest service area with parking for over 700 cars. The Campaign Against Titsey Service Area (CATSA) organized hundreds of protests against development. Located at the Kent-Surrey border. Operated by Roadchef.
