Sedgemoor Services
Sedgemoor Services began in 1970 as Brent Knoll Rest Area, a simple car park with toilets during uncertain times about Somerset’s seasonal traffic. High crime led to transfer to Welcome Break and Roadchef in the 1980s. The northbound full building opened in 1987 following southbound in 1986, both upgraded from picnic area status. Positioned between junctions 22 and 23, the two sides are operated separately by Welcome Break (north) and Roadchef (south).
