Warwick Services
Warwick Services opened in September 1994 between junctions 12 and 13 of the M40, built by Bovis Construction for £11 million across 55 acres. When the M40 opened in 1991, emergency toilet facilities were provided at junctions because no services were ready. For a period, this created Britain’s longest motorway without service areas on a 230-mile route from Folkestone to Telford. A swan made of quartz chips welcomed visitors in 2000. Operated by Welcome Break.
